Employee Spotlight: Kjerstine Gunn
This month, we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on Kjerstine Gunn, a valued member of our Litigation Expert Department. As a Litigation Analyst, Kjerstine has been an integral part of AVELAR since 2021, bringing over two decades of expertise and dedication to the team.
Before joining AVELAR, Kjerstine worked as a paralegal specializing in construction defect cases and spent 10 years with a large land developer and builder, where she developed a deep understanding of builder processes and documentation. Her extensive background uniquely positions her to provide invaluable insights into everything from insurance claims and reporting requirements to the intricacies of construction practices.
In her role at AVELAR, Kjerstine supports our Construction Administrators and assists our testifying experts with detailed reports, ensuring accuracy and professionalism in every case. Beyond this, she is highly versatile and frequently participates in fieldwork, destructive testing, and unit surveys. Her ability to adapt quickly to new tasks, coupled with her knack for becoming a quick study on any project she takes on, makes her an invaluable asset to the team.
Kjerstine also plays a key role in client relations, fostering strong connections and delivering exceptional service.
Outside of work, Kjerstine leads a full and active life in the Bay Area, where she has lived for over 25 years. She and her husband enjoy exploring the region’s scenic hiking trails, hitting the slopes for snowboarding adventures, and spending quality time with their two children.
