That’s a wrap on AVELAR‘s 2026 Summer Interns.
We sent Abigail Inouye, Kellen Bach, and Miako Pizzorno off the only way that felt right: a cookie table, a full conference room, and a lot of people rooting for them.
Over the past few months, they moved through architecture, engineering, construction management, forensic investigation, and accounting — asking good questions, sitting in on real work, and getting a look at how the built environment actually behaves when something goes wrong.
Fifty years in, one of the better things about this firm is that the people who’ve been doing this the longest still make room for the next generation that are just starting out.
