Mike Haller has been on roofs since 1978. Jack Haller flies over them.
They are father and son, and they are AVELAR’s roofing team.
Mike, AVELAR’s Senior Roofing Consultant, started as a journeyman roofer in 1978 and has inspected more than 10,000 commercial and residential roofs. He has torn them off, installed them, estimated them, specified them, and then sat in the chair and testified about them in depositions, arbitrations, and trials. Licensed C-39 roofing contractor, NRCA and WSRCA member. If it has been installed on a Northern California roof in the last four decades, he has probably watched it fail.
Jack, Construction Technician and FAA-certified drone pilot, works the same roofs from a few hundred feet up. He 3D-maps high-rises and roof planes nobody should be walking, then comes back down and writes the scope of repair, the take-off, and the cost estimate.
Forty-eight years of pattern recognition on one side. A point cloud on the other. Same dinner table.
