Ivan Johnson

Ivan Johnson is an Environmental Technician at AVELAR, where he conducts indoor environmental inspections related to mold and moisture intrusion within buildings. He gathers data using a range of sampling methods, then combines that environmental data with construction knowledge to provide clients with accurate, practical solutions to the problems they face.

Ivan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies, combined with Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He began his career in microbiology research and development with an emphasis in biomanufacturing, and this microbiology background gives him a depth of technical knowledge that strengthens his investigative work and supports his team.

While completing his degree, Ivan began volunteering at his campus health center, providing public health education and counseling — work he continued with various organizations after graduation. This reflects a longstanding commitment to health and wellbeing that complements his environmental investigation work.
