Jack Haller built his foundation in the construction industry through hands-on experience in commercial construction and tenant improvement projects from 2012 to 2020, progressing from apprentice to journeyman to foreman. This practical background gave him direct knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems—experience that now informs his forensic work. Jack joined AVELAR as a Construction Technician, where he applies his field expertise to both defense and plaintiff consulting work.
As a Construction Technician, Jack specializes in roofing investigations, conducting detailed field inspections across various roofing systems and building types. He produces comprehensive reports with thorough photo documentation to support AVELAR’s testifying experts in depositions, arbitrations, and trial preparation. Jack’s technical capabilities include drone piloting for aerial inspections and Matterport scanning for detailed 3D documentation—advanced tools that enhance the firm’s ability to assess and document building conditions. His ability to identify and document roofing deficiencies stems from years of hands-on construction experience, giving him practical insight into how roofing systems are installed and how they fail. Jack’s attention to detail and systematic approach to documentation make him a valuable asset to the firm’s forensic investigations.
Outside of work, Jack is an avid trail runner with a passion for photography and cinematography, often capturing the beauty of the outdoors during his travels, particularly in Hawaii.
