Janine serves as the Accounting Department Manager, leading the accounts receivable team and overseeing collections and billing processes. She also supports payroll and accounts payable functions and contributes to financial reporting for management. In addition, Janine manages new hire onboarding and handles certificate of insurance requests. Her dedication ensures the smooth and efficient operation of the accounting department, providing comprehensive support to the team.
Janine joins AVELAR with 16 years of experience in human resources, benefits, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financials for a successful mid-sized, multi-state general contractor. She is a proactive problem solver and can easily manage multiple demands. Her background makes her an asset to the AVELAR accounting team, as she is able to fill in wherever necessary.
In 2006, Janine earned her Master of Science in Computer Science from California State University, Chico. She was awarded the Outstanding Master’s Project in 2006. In 1993, Janine earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University, Chico. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and with honors in the major.
