John provides expertise across AVELAR’s three practice areas, including cost estimating, leak inspection, forensic field investigations, take-offs, building condition assessments, construction administration, waterproofing, and building envelope consulting.
With more than four decades of hands-on construction experience, John Parker brings a rare combination of field expertise and executive leadership to his role as Senior Construction Consultant and Estimator at AVELAR. He began his career working in the trades — as a laborer, truck driver, carpenter, foreman, and superintendent — before moving into estimating, project management, and operations leadership roles, ultimately serving as Vice President of Operations at R.L. Brown Construction Inc. Over the course of 25+ years in senior management, he developed deep expertise in high-end single-family and multi-family residential reconstruction and repairs, as well as light commercial work.
