Design + Reconstruction
Ms. Bouadj is responsible for tasks withing the Design + Reconstruction department including preparing architectural and structural designs for existing and new constructions under the direction of the Architect and the Structural Engineer. She also creates detailed schematics that are utilized in the construction of buildings. These detailed technical drawings incorporate the input of Engineers, Architects, and surveyors and typically specify dimensions, codes, materials, and production methods. In addition, Khaoula is in charge of creating accurate CAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and site visits. She is incredible at seamlessly integrating and communicating with Project Managers, design consultants, and sub-contractors, to produce and alter drawings while ensuring final designs are compliant with building regulations.
Utilizing her creative thinking and strong communication skills, Ms. Bouadj supports the project team throughout the design process, creating sketches and drawings that work, while also creating and continually updating project drawings lists. Her responsibilities also include printing various formats of drawing sets for Project Managers and Site Superintendents as well as systematically saving sketches and drawings utilizing the CAD program.
Khaoula has a background in design and construction includes construction drawing development. Adept at adjusting work pace to meet evolving client needs and changing deadlines, she is hands-on and detail-oriented, whether working independently or as a part of a team.
She is proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Construction Document production.
Educational History:
In 2015 Khaoula attended University Badji Mokhtar, Annaba, Algeria where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture. She continued her education at the same college and got her Master of Arts in Architecture in 2017. In 2018, Ms. Bouadj developed her technology skills with a course from Laney College on SketchUp, Rhino and Adobe Photoshop where she received her Digital Tools for Architecture and Design certificate, followed by developing her education further in Building Information Modeling (Revit Course; 2019), California Building Code (2020), and the California Mechanical Code (2020).
