Moe Sohi is responsible for the production of conceptual designs utilizing 3D modeling tools for design presentations. Additionally, Moe prepares construction documents such as Architectural and Structural plans and details while collaborating with planning and building departments for permitting. Moe also does a significant amount of research on design and building codes to better both himself and the AVELAR team.
Moe Sohi is currently working towards his architectural licensure in California and in process of completing his required hours for the AXP (Architectural Experience Program in NCARB), which upon completion, will make him eligible to take the ARE exams.
Mr. Sohi has an extensive background and experience that includes Construction supervision/Construction Administration in Tehran, Iran where he supervised and managed several sub-contractors during a condominium construction project (270 units – 3 buildings – 11 floors). Also, Moe worked as a Senior Designer and then a Senior Architectural Interior Designer in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) during this time he gained experience developing interior and lighting design concepts and 3D models and developed and produced conceptual design (3D modeling and construction documents) for developers, coordinate different kind of contractors, and collaborating with building/planning departments for various European clients.
Moe attended Tehran Sama University, where he received his Associate degree of Industrial design.
Mr. Sohi received his Bachelor of Architecture from Coventry University (UK)
Continuing his education, he attended University Putra Malaysia where he earned his Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Bio-composite Design (Thesis subject: Utilizing Natural Fiber for Sustainable Building Materials).
Moe also attended the Academy of Art University where he received his master’s level Coursework in Architecture.
From his extensive education he has become proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, Lumion, Revit, and Photoshop.
