Design + Reconstruction
Jacob works in the reconstruction department where he specializes in the preparation of construction documents for repairs of existing structures or new design.
Mr. Avery studied architecture and graphic design for 7 years and uses several different programs to produce designs. He is proficient in graphic production with AutoCAD, Rhinoceros3D, SketchUp, Vray, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Jacob is incredibly skilled at creating composition images, using multiple computer programs, which produce richer and easy to read graphics. In addition to building design drawings, he worked in graphic design creating emblems, logos, and sign graphics.
Jacobs experience in the construction industry includes two years of working for a rental property owner assisting in the oversite and maintenance of more than 40 apartment communities and rental homes in the Greater Bay Area. During these years he performed miscellaneous building repairs and generated as-built drawings. In addition, he participated in several volunteer projects which involved repair or new construction of accessory buildings throughout the Bay Area and parts of Mexico.
Jacob graduated from Diablo Valley College in 2018 with an Associated degree in Administration of Justice. At that same school he also received certificates in Corrections, Criminal Law, Juvenile Counselling, and Community Relations Specialist. Jacobs most recent accomplishment was graduating with a Bachelors in Arts (2021) from the Architecture and Environmental Design Program at the University of California, Berkeley.
Aside from architecture and construction, Jacob has a particular interest in boating and engines. He loves fishing, driving fast boats, and building both boats and their engines. If you mention boating, fishing, or engine theory around Jacob you will instantly have his undivided attention.
