Forensic + Litigation Support
Tim has been a business owner and general contractor for 40 years. He has extensive experience in the construction of new buildings and remodeling in many building types including single family, multi-residential, commercial, and mixed-use construction. As a litigation expert with AVELAR since 1997, he has been involved in a wide variety of construction defect and building related litigation cases working on behalf of both plaintiff and defendant clients. His litigation support services cover the full gamut of building and design problems ranging from investigation, testing, estimating and contract analysis to repair scope development, schedule analysis and evaluation of real estate sales disclosure issues.
In conjunction with AVELAR, Tim’s relationship with design-build contractors facilitates construction litigation settlements through guaranteed design-build repair contracts. Tim also has substantial trial and arbitration testimony experience and has been a licensed general contractor since 1981, (#403456B).
In 1981, Tim received his Bachelor of Science in Conservation and Resource Studies from University of California, Berkeley.
